B2B market development and hands-on sales execution
MarketSpain · Portugal

One service, adapted to the objective

Ocethea is not an agency selling databases, email campaigns or isolated meetings. We manage a complete sales development process and define the scope around the commercial problem the client needs to solve. A project may begin with market validation, a target-account database, a distributor that needs support, trade-show contacts requiring follow-up or a need for local sales presence.

What we do

  • define the ideal customer profile;
  • identify priority segments and applications;
  • build or review a target-account database;
  • remove companies that do not fit;
  • prioritise accounts by commercial potential;
  • identify decision-makers and technical influencers;
  • contact the market by telephone, email and LinkedIn;
  • qualify needs, projects and openness to change;
  • secure qualified meetings;
  • prepare each meeting with relevant account information;
  • carry out structured sales follow-up;
  • participate in online meetings;
  • conduct in-person visits;
  • support distributors or local partners;
  • follow opportunities through to a quotation, proposal or agreed next step;
  • document activity, responses and results.

1.We understand the product and the objective

Before contacting companies, we assess:

what the client sells;which problem it solves;where and how it is used;which companies may need it;its technical and commercial advantages;the available alternatives;who is involved in the buying process;what should qualify as a real opportunity.

We do not start by making calls without a clear rationale. We first define what we are looking for and why an account may be relevant.

2.We define the target market

We specify:

Spain, Portugal or both;priority regions;sectors and applications;company type and size;end users, system integrators, distributors or partners;decision-maker profiles;account-priority criteria;qualification criteria;project objectives and performance indicators.

3.We build and organise the target-account database

We can work with a database provided by the client or build one from the ground up.

We review actual business activity, products, applications, company size, location, technical capabilities, markets served, investment signals and likely fit.

The database becomes a working sales tool: validated accounts, segmented and ranked by priority.

4.We identify decision-makers

We look for the people able to evaluate, specify, purchase or use the solution.

Depending on the product, this may include general management, industrial management, production, operations, engineering, maintenance, logistics, automation, technical procurement, plant management, investment, product management or channel management.

5.We contact the market

We combine:

telephone outreach;email;LinkedIn;switchboard calls and contact validation;multichannel follow-up;online meetings;in-person visits.

Messages are adapted to the product, application, market and role of the person being contacted.

6.We qualify each opportunity

During contact, we aim to establish:

whether the company fits the target profile;how it currently operates;which equipment, suppliers or solutions it uses;its approximate volume, capacity or project scale;which problem it needs to solve;what it would change about the current situation;whether projects or investments are planned;whether it is open to evaluating an alternative;who is involved in the decision;which next step is appropriate.

A positive response is not automatically an opportunity. A real opportunity requires account fit, a relevant stakeholder, a possible application and a specific next step.

7.We secure meetings with context

Before each meeting, the client receives:

company and business activity;contact name and role;summary of the conversation;current situation;identified requirement;current solution or supplier;level of interest;objections;stakeholders involved;recommended next step.

We do not deliver an empty calendar appointment. We deliver a prepared sales conversation.

8.We take part in sales execution

When the project requires it, we can also:

participate in the meeting;introduce the company and solution;conduct site visits;support demonstrations or trials;gather technical requirements;coordinate technical information;follow up quotations and proposals;reactivate opportunities;support the distributor;maintain contact with the account.

9.We work with the client’s commercial structure

No local presence

We manage the first phase of market development and validate demand before a larger investment is made.

Existing sales team

We generate and prepare opportunities so the team can focus on moving them forward and closing.

Distributor or local partner

We help open accounts, increase activity and improve channel follow-up.

10.We measure the work

Depending on the scope, we measure:

companies identified and validated;accounts excluded and prioritised;decision-makers identified;contacts completed;meaningful conversations;response rate;meetings held;sales opportunities generated;opportunities progressing to the next stage;site visits;requests for information, trials or RFQs;pipeline value;cost per meeting and qualified opportunity where relevant.

A meeting is considered qualified when a relevant stakeholder participates, a possible application or need exists and a next step is agreed.

11.Deliverables

market map;validated and prioritised account database;decision-makers and contact information;account-by-account sales status;requirements, current suppliers and objections;meetings and opportunities;next steps;market-learning report;recommendations for continuation.

12.Reporting and ArianePro

The client receives regular updates on activity, responses, meetings, opportunities, blockers and next steps.

When useful, ArianePro provides access to the project from a computer or mobile device. We can also work within the client’s CRM, spreadsheet or internal system.

The tool adapts to the project. The project does not adapt to the tool.

Where is your company today?

How a project starts

1.Initial discussion about the product, market and current situation.

2.Definition of segments, accounts, responsibilities and success criteria.

3.Proposal covering scope, timing, deliverables, indicators and commercial terms.

4.Project launch and regular review of results.
